Cynthia Hammond is President and Co-Founder of Churchill Commercial Capital, a commercial mortgage banking company based in Scottsdale, Arizona, founded in 1994. Churchill Commercial Capital is a loan correspondent for major life insurance companies and has broad and deep relationships with numerous lenders who make permanent, bridge, construction and equity investments in commercial real estate, ranging from $1 to over $100 million. In addition to running Churchill, Cindy arranges debt and equity for owners of property located in the southwestern United States.

Churchill has a stellar reputation as a skilled mortgage banker able to arrange financing for the entire capital stack of an investment. They have closed financing for retail, multi-family, senior housing, industrial, office, medical, self-storage, and hotels located across the western USA. Churchill services a sizeable loan portfolio for its life company correspondents.

Cindy has over 35 years’ experience in finance, acquisitions and marketing of institutional quality commercial real estate. Prior to forming Churchill in 1994, she ran Hammond Commercial Real Estate Finance, arranged commercial mortgage loans at John Hancock Real Estate Finance, analyzed commercial property acquisitions at pension fund advisor First Chicago Investment Advisors, and began her career as a Research Analyst with Grubb & Ellis. She earned her Certified Mortgage Banker Designation from the Mortgage Bankers Association of America in 2008.

Cindy has authored several articles on commercial real estate finance seen in numerous industry and national publications. She has given presentations to the ICSC, ULI, AZCREW, the Pima County Real Estate Research Council, Arizona Commercial Mortgage Lender’s Association, Grubb & Ellis and ASU’s Master’s in Real Estate Development. She has served as an expert witness on commercial mortgage in commercial litigation.

She is past president of LAI’s Arizona chapter, and past president of the Arizona Commercial Mortgage Lender’s Association and AZCREW, past national director of CREW Network, member of the Urban Land Institute formerly serving as chair of the Arizona District Council Program Committee and member of the ULI Advisory Committee, and holds memberships in the Pima County Real Estate Research Council, Commercial One, REIAC, AZCREW and Phi Beta Kappa. She holds licenses as an Arizona commercial mortgage banker and real estate broker in Arizona and California. Cynthia earned a B.S. degree in Economics, summa cum laude with honors from Arizona State University in 1984.
